The Snapdragon 835 chipset is fabbed at Samsung facilities.

That's damn bad, Samsung phones suck anyway, LG should get snap 835 only though

If that's the case, they should just go with either the helio x30 or rub elbows with HiSilicon/Huawei to get them Kirin 970 chips...

Cassy O, 24 Jan 2017Hahahaha... How about Nokia? Their fans are annoying af ... moreI'm actually looking forward for the Nokia 8 :-) need to see the real specs tho, but the rumors look inviting. But if it's not with a 4500+ battery, I'm going to look for others.

It seems that LG will be forever undermined by some thing that is not quite "right". This year, their G6 design finally looks great, but they will be forced to use an old 14nm chipset, while 10nm will be the norm this year. I am not worried about performance, but more about battery life which will suffer greatly compared to the 10nm chipsets. Hopefully LG sticks a large battery (3500+ mAh) inside the phone but I doubt it.

Lg will put their phone on the market anyway, so why should they have problems? The s8 will be needed to test over and over again, so it won't blow up again. With 2 flaws already, I gave up on sammy. S6 and note 7, the 2 worst phones in the Sammy smart world.

That's what they get for marketing their "safe" G6... If it ships with SD821 it will be DOA. Who in their right minds would consider that in 2017 when flagship smartphones with sd 835 is just couple of months away now
