JMTM, 26 Jan 2017what a dumb comment... you clearly dont know what you are t... moreSamsung's doing business here, so it has all the rights to provide certain features which are not available in its major competitor(Apple) and also the right to purchase any number of parts required to produce its flagship. May be they are not ready with their exynos so they are going with SD835 for which they are doing fabrication. Their flagships sell in millions and much larger than many other Android manufacturers. So what's wrong there with Samsung? Either you should ask Qualcomm/Samsung to produce chips in even more larger quantities or ask the competitors to start their own chip manufacturing business. Or even approach Qualcomm's competitors. Even Microsoft's mobile OS is struggling to get a space for itself it's no point in Samsung opting for its own OS and hurting its business prospects totally.

do you think samsung puts microSD for their customers so they can save money while apple isnt?
sammy had to put it there since other android manufacturers are doing it thats it period.
if they were smart enough to make thier own os like google or apple and its just as popular as the other two, trust me samsung will do even worse than apple nothing less.
look at what they are doing with SD835 chips so other companies can not release their 2017 flagships.

Buying an extra 256gb SD card along with S7 is lot cheaper than upgrading your 32gb iPhone to 128gb iPhone. Easy file transfer and syncing in Apple? Dependence on iTunes for everything is called simplicity and easy transfer right? And the process of converting formats before copying music/video files from PC to Phone, is it what called simple transfer? Then what is 'cut-copy-paste' sort of file transfer available in Samsung/any Android for that matter? Is that more complex thing than what Apple prefers? Let those who want a stripped down and others u mentioned buy Apple.

I don't know if you truly just don't like it or just buy into too much hype and bashing. But factually their Amoled displays are objectively overall far superior.

i sincerely hope the fingerprint sensor is not on the back and is under the front bezel as mentioned previously. Don't get me wrong i will still buy samsung but that would be a huge inconvenience.

32 GB can never be enough, those who like more apps especially gaming apps can can finish up the 32 GB. Those who like to shoot videos in 4k will finish it up in just shooting few videos without other videos. As for me I need more than 200 gb. 256 GB will be OK for me. My 32 GB of ROM and my SD card of 64 GB do always short out and I always have to transfer some video files to my pendrive through otg. That is why I only buy phones that have otg support nowadays.

To everyone who's bickering at the possibility at the fingerprint sensor being at the back. I find it more convenient. It works like a charm on phones like the Huawei Mate 7, Mate 8 etc. To me it's less of a hassle having it at the back rather than the front.

One variant would be a fashiontphone for snobs (like the Samsung phones since S6), and the other would be a Pro variant for smart people (that has removable battery, FM Radio, infrared port, memory card slot and maybe IPS screen).
This way they could easily satisfy everyone.

Yes it is, because iPhone users just us... moreIt has a SD Card slot instead of what samsung and apple do and charge another 80 dollars for more memory you can buy a SD Card for 40 dollars and make your device have 32GB installed on the device and another 128gb on the SD Card slot at least you have the option to upgrade your memory.
Then when you buy a new phone you dont have to back up or restore anything just take out your SD Card and put it into your new phone and carry on enjoying your new device instead of worrying about keeping all your pictures and videos.
