HTC top-dog leaks again - could this be the Desire 2?

07 February, 2011
New information has just leaked, suggesting the successor of the HTC Desire will be aptly called Desire 2. An inventory list from Vodafone with the name “Desire2” nicely coincided with the series of photo leaks...

I was waiting for this one. I didn't buy Desire then because I thought that a better one was coming, then I saw Z and HD, but they were different... But I think I'll wait for this 2. I like the HTC design, and I love this one. Hope the hardware rocks.

um i don't guys, but i'm fine with the design.. It's what htc is known for, i see in a tram a glimse of that phone and know its a htc. Look at iphone, same style for 5yrs. Htc doesn't need new designers

A Desire with Super AMOLED and dual core processor, unibody design and no hardware buttons would be a dream come true. The LCD screen on the Desire HD kinda sucks if they won't be able to get S-AMOLED from Samsung I hope they can find some decent screens (maybe LG?), and HTC should really improve their camera hardware, I don't remember seeing any decent ones on their devices. I don't except DSLR quality but they are way behind the competition in this aspect.

No, its not the same with Desire!
I suppose people who saying that, look at all cars and say they all the same LOL!!
Desire 2 will have dual core processor and thats guarantee the special section on android market games!
So, its totally different league we talking about here.

The only thing I like about HTC is there HTC Sense UI.
Android is pretty much the same crap on all phones. And with HTC all phones are nearly same design. Come on mix it up a little.
                HTC Desire is Still top.

This is the new Nexus one without the track ball. Something Nexus one should have been from the get go. What's nice, it has a front facing camera as well.

I agree with most people here, the design is UTTERLY boring. It shows how lazy HTC is when it comes to the design of the phone.

Sony differentiate as much as they can with their designs - especially in the upcoming Xperia Arc which has a curved back (for when holding the phone in landscape mode) and physical keys at the bottom - it's distinctly Sony. Nokia is another that stand out with their designs (N8 and X7 are good examples). Most other companies go with a flat slab. Yes, the UI and internal hardware will differentiate the phones but looks still count for something these days.

I like the designs of galaxy s, LG x2 and motorola. They r all a touch screen so wat else do u need other than the keys at the bottom and a large touch screen.

such boring design. it is not even as good as the original Desire.

I'm not sure what I think of the look of it, slightly sleeker than the Desire but not exactly a revolution in design. But then again there is only so much you can do design wise with a large screen phone, it's the design of the UI that differentiates phones these days.
