      lol ... this is just standard pricing outside of North America anyway.

      Any phone is free on a 2 year contract of about $60/month or more in Australia for example. There is no such thing as these ridiculous "upfront" prices. You either pay full price without contract, or you get it free on-contract.

      Basically TMobile are just having a 2 day break from ripping people off.
