Looking forward to more powerful Tizen phones. I have a Samsung Z3 Tizen phone and it works fine, given the low specs it works just as well as Android if not better. The only issue is the lack of a few key apps. I don't use it as my daily driver yet as Line Messenger is still not available (though it is available on the Samsung Z2 I hear.
Stop with the negativity - the only people complaining about Tizen phones are people who don't read or investigate their purchases and expect an Android phone with the Google Play store.

Needless to say I had a Z2 for a week and sold it on to some poor soul that will get mad just as I did.

Google is taking Android Wear seriously, and has even acquired companies to help design and develop the OS. Tizen is nice on Samsung's watches, but on phones, it will absolutely suck and fail.

I don't know if anyone at GSMA reads these comments or not but still:
The writers should get their facts right before posting anything. The latest Tizen smartphone is Samsung Z2 (1st with 4G) released at some point in the 4
3rd quarter of 2016 and the latest Tizen OS version is 2.4.x.x and not 2.3.2.
There have been atleast ~5 updates after 2.3.2.

Tizen cannot compete with Android
Tizen should have inbuilt android player which can run apk files
Tizen should find more OEM... i really wish Jolla, AnTu and few other experimental Mobile Phone Makers should consider Tizen
Samsung should release a high end experimental device like how Nokia released Lumia 1020. the app gap was huge when L1020 came out but still it shot out to fame
likely, Samsung should try Galaxy T8 which is an equivalent of S8
Tizen T8 with Amazon Prime/Amazon Appstore would be a great advantage in the market

Just because an OS doesn't have apps, it doesn't mean the OS is bad. Android gained a huge popularity among developers. Terms and regulations for Android is becoming stricter and stricter. So it is natural for a company to have backup plan. Most companies will rely on a third party OS like Windows 10 Mobile or Ubuntu Mobile. Samsung will have their own OS.
