i miss those old days when i had nexus 4 , nexus 5
when nexus was $369 flagship killer that lasts for ever .
i still have my old nexus 5 and it feels like i got it yesterday still fast and nice .
i switched to iphone recently because i wanted a phone less than 5" screen , pixel was huge disappointment for me as the price was $300 morethan its predessesor .

Why not make an Android One with mid-range or 2016 specs?! I can't justify buying flagship smartphones at these prices. It was the N5 that got me started to this.

My wishes for the Pixel 2:
-waterproof
-software stability
-good battery
-display not larger than 5"
-front speakers
-dual/tri/quad camera with Light L16 mirror mechanism (for having bigger sensors and better apertures for the tele/portrait cameras) and tele+portrait capabilities with good blur effect
-noise reduction less extreme in low light
-HDR+ -raw
-manual shutter speed (so in this case exposure compensation would affect solely iso)and manual focus
-further professional camera settings (zebra when shooting in hdr+raw, etc..)

I like that they are trying to upgrade Pixel's already superb camera. But why in the world are they planning to increase it's already expensive price?!

If this Pixel 2B is a cheaper solution for Google flavored devices, replacing a scarce existence of Android One, then I'm all for it.

Before increasing the price they first shall increase the build quality so the phone doesn't suffer from all those constantly leaking issues, also that awful design shall be changed. The only selling point of this phone is heavy advertising. If it wouldn't be marketed as made by Google (as we know, hardware isn't made by them), people would be much more judgemental for the flaws this phone has.

Fail to understand why Google thinks that after Nexus, people would put their money on Pixel? Matching established iPhone in terms of pricing was foolish and will remain like that unless they build Pixel brand first. First price a device insane and then do cash back tricks to increase sales? Why not price it right in first place? Now folks who bought Pixel for original full price will never like the reduced one and people on the fence to buy one, wait for more reduction :D Pricing is important and sustaining the correct price makes a successful product. Add 2 years of Support for Pixel line to the mix and there you go.

The Pixel needs to have waterproofing, of at least IPx7. I have the Pixel 1 now, and will probably buy the Pixel 2 if it has waterproofing and other updated specs. Camera megapixels shouldnt be less than 12MP. Keep it as 12MP and add other features/ quality, but dont go less than that resolution.
Hopefully Google decides to put either the Snapdragon or their own processor in the Pixel 2. I find that any other processor (like Tegra) dont run well. Not because they aren't powerful, but because apps don't know how to properly use all of Tegra's power. I have had two tegra tablets, and both have been incredibly slow and sluggish.
