AnonD-569198, 29 Jan 2017Once again, the Google Pixel XL is shown to be overpriced.I know, right? I see all of these big name android lovers raving about it, and it doesn't make any sense to me. While yeah, pure android and consistent updates are great, you can effectively get the exact same experience for $400/500 less with the 3T. And the Pixel lacks a lot of the premium stuff like waterproofing you'd expect on a $700-800 dollar phone.

It's like when Google decided to go after Apple with these phones, they also emulated their habit of selling over-priced, feature-light hardware.

      1) No innovation in battery so far by any manufacturer apart from fast charging tech
      2) OP3T software wise is yet to match the flagships. With every update, I expect it to only get better :)

kinda cool but I probably won't need such speed.
All I to know if One Plus will be able to release a phone based on S835 this year. I don't like the higher price of the Samsung S8

This is classic OnePlus hype. They focus on one great, though perhaps not the most important, feature, to create the false impression that their "flagship killer" is better than a more expensive true flagship. It's hype by distraction. Try to avoid people making truly fair overall comparisons of the two phones (a bit like how our new horrible president uses Twitter controversies to distract from the real and radical policy changes he's persuing).

Fine. the OnePlus 3T charges better.

The Pixel on the other hand gets the latest Android updates, including security updates, and will continue to get them for three years. OnePlus has been spotty and inconsistent on this. Security if far more important than charging in the limited use case where you are also navigating.

The Pixel is also fully compatible with T-Moblie's wifi calling and VoLTE (OnePlus supports VoLTE unofficially-- the certification costs money--which has resulted in the feature working, not working after updates, maybe working again, people downgrading their system--introducing security holes--to get VoLTE, etc.). I have long said, what is the point of a new phone that is not even fully compatible with your carrier's network?

The OnePlus 3T is a great phone. But there are reasons why it's cheaper than the Pixel, iPhone, Galaxy 7, and other true flagships. I just get tired of OnePlus' hype. Sometimes they seem to care more about hype and misleading people than just focusing on their phones.

So OnePlus manipulated the test so that the 3T winds. Bad move, this reduces their reputation

As it's clearly superior in Charging capability and may even be beneficial to the battery as there is no heat build-up.

                            Let's see...

                            OP3T has 3400mAh battery
Le Pro 3 has 4070mAh battery

                            30 mins charging

                            OP3T = 57% = 1938mAh
                            Le Pro 3 = 46% = 1872mAh

Not bad Le Pro 3, not bad... =D

I think universality in the future and we should make a universal USB C PD charge for smartwatch, phone, tablet and laptop and stop making custom charger like DASH charge or Qualcomm quick charge

yeah, Oneplus 3T charges faster when it's in use because it has a property charging solution with a property DASH cable 3 times thicker than usual and it's cooler when you charge it...in comparison with Pixel XL which has an universal cable and charges slower under use...so it's no winners, it's more about what you want...property DASH cable and cooler charging or universal cable, any USB C 3.1 cable and warmer charge

I wonder who actually is buying these... moreCheapies like me who own some of the most expensive phones available anywhere (try Z5 and 6s). Your opinion on the OP3T seems to stem from ignirance and nkt having direct experience with the phone.

But i am not surprised. I too was apprehensive about buying a Chinese phone.
