The phone is 6 months old at this point, and the Hasselblad addon produces images that are worse than the native Moto Z camera. The only place where it wins, is if you need to zoom in. But for all other shots at up to 2x zoom, you might as well take off the mod. Sure, you'll have only about 3-4 megapixels resolution at 2x digital zoom, but the white balance and exposure will be much better.

The only plausible use case, is to buy that combo, sell the add-on on e-bay for like 150, and on the same B&H site, for $350 you can get a brand new Sony A5000 with 16-50 lens.
You'll end up with a DSLR quality camera yet still close to being pocket sized.

Alternatively, just pocket the cash or buy a JBL mod, or a projector mod.

Seems like an excellent deal. On the other hand, its a US exclusive and its disapointing to see the Moto Z more widely available, with the Moto Z Force being so lacking in retail presence globally :/.

This $400-off deal is very nice, but I would prefer Moto Z Force + JBL Moto Mod. That still doesn't make up for the lack of the 3.5mm headphone jack, though.

The phone is useless with that small battery and this module (useless by itself) that produces mediocre images, without an extra battery, makes it even more useless.
