AnonD-337832, 31 Jan 2017whats with snap 835 for 10k and all? it was just about snap... moreSo what are you gonna use a 10k phone for. vr? As a DSLR? Or emulator? People want a reliable phone not a powerful phone in this range. If a 625 can last 2 days of normal use with same battery and same purpose as a phone with 652 which would last less people would love a better battery just 2 years back we had phones in sub 10k with 410 and barely a days battery. More power is beneficial but after a point it doesn't matter. If there can be a compromise between power and better battery it's beneficial for both customer and company

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017Wow, 5" screen! If this G5 is less than 70mm wide, I'm in.I saw on another site that there are two models. the G5 with a 5" screen and the G5 plus at 5.5".

Shrink it a bit more, 4.7 or 4.5" with the same specs and battery, then I might buy it. No? Ok then, I'll get an older smaller phone.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017Is it just me or does this sound a step back from the g4It isn't. It's just smaller, the rest is the same, maybe little bit better. SD430 has better GPU than 617, the processor power is comparable. It is also newer, so it would probably get more support. It also supports Vulkan api. Ram is the same screen smaller and body and battery respectively too.

Why would G5 have a smaller screen than G4? Did G4 flop? Are they replacing Moto G, Moto G Play and Moto E with just one model?

AnonD-237381, 30 Jan 2017You're talking bs, as far as I know, Moto phones are still ... moreI guess you didn't read that Moto E3 Power released in September 2016 won't be getting Nougat

calm down for Snapdragon 430! Its good enough for a daily driver(phone calls, text/whatsapp, browsing, playing songs, watching videos etc). If you really want a strong contender stop complaining and visit phones with SD 600 or 800 series.

I mean seriously! I had a Moto X 1st gen with Snapdragon S4 pro(~400 series) processor and it ran Asphalt 8 pretty smooth!!

This is not G4 play's successor it is G4's successor. G5 play will have even lower processor

Even if you guys get Snapdragon 835 for 10k with Qhd screen and s7s camera you will be whining. 430 and 625 are best low end and mid range chipsets right now. SD 652 isn't good for battery life. Read Lenovo P2 review and also Xiaomi has cheaper model of note 4 for 10k and a 430 for 7k use the device experience it before whining sir

When it's priced fairly (not like Nokia 6) and gets at least 2 major updates and long security patches, it should be fine

You're typical moto G spec. If it were to have NFC, I'd replace my ancient moto g 1st gen with this. G5 Plus leak reported it to have NFC but it pose another question, all variant or not?
