AnonD-368020, 30 Jan 2017Other than its apples fault/lg's fault ... can anyone guess... moreRF (radio frequency) energy from the router. As long as its on and the WiFi is transmitting, the monitor is getting hit with RF. Sounds like just not enough RF shielding around the circuitry that generates the picture.

This is an FCC faliure, because they're in charge of certifying the Radio Frequency use of devices.

And to think routers can be anywhere else except near desktop table doesn't make sense

LG is a joke. Their G5 is a modular joke that I wonder who goes to the septic tank first, LG or HTC. Now this. Ditch LG. Losing Ground. Loser's Game.

Sorry but I'm an Mac user and this is a joke! Over 1K for a monitor you can't use near a router? Nearly any serious user will have their router near their setup for transmission speeds of RJ45. Hell the thunderbolt display even added that feature!

Yes it's LGs fault but people at LG are also humans. who knows that you should test an ultrafine display with a router nearby. I think no company has this in quality check neither sharp, Samsung etc.

Kind of a non-issue really. How many people are going to have a router that close to the monitor? We are talking roughly 6ft. Granted, a bit more RF shielding may be in order, but for 99% of the usage cases, it isn't an issue.
