Trump is more correct than the media lets on, and yes there was a ban on visas in 2011, which is obvious to any of us who were working the embassy compound.

The world's has started ignoring 'what is being said' in favour of 'who is saying it'. That is a sad reality.
Was listening to people on CNN (yeah yeah, 'fake news') say that they support trump because "we need to know who is coming in". These people are unaware of the vetting program already in place, which can cost refugees 18 to 24 month in vetting before being allowed in.
Compare the reality of checks in place vs ehat is perceived to be the reality, and you can understand the senseless arguments taking place.

Obama did the ... moreBecause what you're talking about is fake news. Obama didn't do the same thing. What Obama did in 2011 was make the process more stringent for REFUGEES. And even then there wasn't a single month in which refugees weren't accepted, let alone normal people travelling, which even those with visas and green cards being denied with Trump.
You don't realise that Trump is manipulating everyone. The media reacts to his bad policies, then he lies to ignorant people like you, and then you see the media react and think they're being politically correct, when the truth is they are just being factually correct. His ignorant supporters then think he is 'getting things done' like he promised when he isn't. I don't know why you can't see it.

I don't know about the other six countries, but Iranian students are one of the largest groups of foreign students in the USA. This ban will have severe consequences for them and their families. I hope the ban would be lifted after this 4-month time period for all of these countries.

I don't get why people are getting outraged with Trump banning those countries. The ban is reasonable as those countries are major exporters of terrorists in the West. It's not like all Muslim countries are included in the ban.
