Anonymous, 03 Feb 2017I considered to do that with Surface Pro ... it was a no go... moreTab A and Spen is good enough but almost 500g. You can go with Tab S2 around 389g. Both 9.7inch display.

Could you also see a bacteria from a distant star? #sarcasm
This spec war should've ended years ago. All we need is longevity and build quality, regardless of whichever platform is used on a gadget. Build quality ensures the device withstand a little rough daily usage while the longevity will ensure the device still performs well after countless OS upgrades. But then again I think it's just my wishful thinking. :)

Microsoft has a less capable OS as far as tablet use goes (it's primarily built for desktop use) and still has many issues that Android solved ages ago. But the greatest problem is/was the weight of the damn thing. At almost 800 Gram it was a problem to carry around after a while.
So 3 months in I sold my Suface Pro 3 and rebought a Note 10.1 2014 (also running AOSP 7.1 at this point). For better or worse there are not many good drawing tablets. They're either too big/awkward (Windows tablets) or too restrictive (iPad Pros)...
I'd love if Samsung was to release a modern Note tablet, i.e. almost 400 grams (half that of Windows tabs) + all the optimizations from the Note series...

Depending on price, I would consider this as a possible drawing tablet to replace my Note 10.1 2014 unit running 7.1 AOSP Android.
