Pokemon Go breezes past $1 billion in revenue, but the future may be bleak

          mir, 02 Feb 2017Happens with every hit app. Growth will eventually taper of... moreIt does happen to all games however it was their own doping. Niantic's own selfish and twisted thinking, demands, and actions sent the game spiraling down very prematurely.
          Heck they took away the main basis of the game within the first few days of it running.

          If not for what they did the game would have held much more popularity for much longer and probably surpassed this mark last year.
          But instead they stole money, isolated players, lied, over priced, took too many months to fix bad glitches and issues even after raking in over $400,000,000. Which didn't take long either. Then after claiming root users were the cause of unfairness and letting them purchase things before eliminating things themselves went and edited the stats of pokemon months into the game...the ones that people literally spent hours, days, weeks, months building up.
          And the basis of the game was flawed even.
          Like the starter. They start off so low and until more recently most people hardly saw the three starters often enough. To the point is either get rid of it defeating the entire purpose or wait months and months and months and months trying to build it up. And the stats were not even that perfect. Just better. Why?

          That's just the cliff notes of what they did to ruin themselves.

            I heard from players that the company made many bad choices and affect players ability to enjoy the game as they'd like to.

I agree it's at time disturbing, but people need something to held them de-stress and forget about the harsh reality.

                      I see this coming. I hated the people crowding the pokestop. Get a life! I mean real life! Stop playing this stupid game. Nobody want to look like a crazy dude walking around the street asking to be hit by a car just to find a freaking pokemon. Outside my workplace window I see those players walking the street carelessly. Sometimes I wish they got hit by the passing car. Thank god the hype only lasted around 3 months before people stop playing it. Im happy seeing my place looks normal again.

                        The future? How about the present? Nobody that I know plays this game still. What a gimmicky title. Apparently adding pokemon into a bad idea doesn't turn it into good. It only gets more hyped before dying off...

                        I was always calling it a gimmick (as most AR games are). We still don't know the point oF AR which makes me worry about its future...

                          this company is bad, why couldn't they improve graphical design? it looked like iOS ripoff... Android version MUST use material design... That iOS UI in Pokémon go almost gave me a cancer... Seriously... It had so many glitches, it needed just turn around and all objects were overlapping... They did not add trading and stuff, they struggled to give people what they wanted and hype died very very fast. I played for like 3-4 days after release and then it just got boring as I'm actually in a rural area and had no pokestops around me nor gyms.
