Hey guys

This is really disappointing, I don't know how to react to this problem. I live in Mexico, have the Galaxy S7 edge and still no nougat update. The carrier says that Samsung hasn't released ye.

I have a theory it might not be right but here it goes " if my phone is outdated from the hardware to the software i'll be inclined to buy the new one, given that the S7 edge with the nougat doesn't really feels different than the S8 or S8+.Of course the display is prettier and the facial recognition is not on the S7, but after that it's the Same phone.

I think my phone is gonna be updated when the s8 has a couple of months out !

AnonD-642161, 06 Feb 2017My Nexus 6 received a notification that Android 7.0 is read... moreThey do get the updates first, but as any phone they also do have a date when they expire. Nexus 6 is now old news for google and seeing how it's 3 years old that is not a surprise. Only a few phones are lucky enough to receive an update at that age. However, there's always custom ROM option.

I have ASUS ZenFone 3 deluxe. No Android Nougat update yet and manufacturer said to keep updates set to automatic.

I hope we (Nokia users from the 930/929, 830 and 1520) manage to receive updates to Redstone 3.

Other than that, Yeah MS does pay a lot to attention to (their best Nokians) and their MS devices.

Those are mid-rangers with build quality that IMO surpasses the S-line! Also, the updates are not the manufacturers problem like MS can update all sorts of PCs ( new or old), so why cant Google do the same?

I wish I stayed with Marshmallow. The new ux is dumb. In certain areas it is a step backwards. Much ado about nothing. Not worth waiting. Really. The setting section is now ss less transparent.

Do you disregard security from your equation?
