I updated my phone with the February update and have had different problems since then. double tap to wake doesn't work any more and proximity sensor turns the screen off immediately after I tap to call a contact. It was completely fine before installing the update and now it's gone crazy.

Eske Rahn, 04 Feb 2017The heating issue was practically gone with Marshmallow. ... moreWell, it still heats up on me from time to time. I have set GSAM Battery Monitor Pro to alert whenever the temperature reaches 39 deg. C. I am not into any games. There are more important things to do in my spare time than play games, that's only for me. Some apps easily raises the temperature of this device like Waze, Firefox, etc. I have removed most of them. But one thing I noticed in this update is the battery saving. It only consumes 1% per hour during standby. I have my GPS turned on and Data/Wi-Fi 24 hours a day.

It's nice to see quick security updates. But something seems fishy here, why is it "5th February", generally it's the 1st of the month, ryt? Also will the Priv get updated to Nougat form Marshmallow?

Sure it can still get hot if you do some heavy stuff. But for normal daily usage, the problem disappeared when it got 6.0.1 - at the least for my usage pattern.

But those that intend their phablet as a gaming console for some demanding games - well they should choose something else I guess.

The unique thing about the Priv is the sliding keyboard, and as it got zero competition hence the heavy price tag. The Mercury (or what ever it will be labeled) that is about to be released with a non-sliding keyboard, is the closest competitor. Otherwise you need to go years back....
