LG H871 with Snapdragon 820 benchmarked, is it the G6?

06 February 2017
It could be one of the other G6 phones LG recently trademarked - the LG G6 Lite or G6 Compact.

For a non-potential buyer, no need to pretend being so angry, mate.

Why wou... morelol...you giving me lessons of power efficiency?! not really, i know OLED/Amoled is more power efficient than LCD, but LCD have better sharpness and color accuracy than OLED or Amoled! i have a V10 and for sure i dont change it for an AMOLED or OLED phone, the colors is very much punchy and unrealistic, oversaturated and i dont like it, my V10 have accuracy in colors!

And still, lets the phone be out and you will see if 821 make so much difference compared to 835 - and i am not talking about S8, i am talking about maybe OP4 and others.

OH NO, It has the Snapdragon 820???!!!! Such an inferior chip, sooooo 2016, I'm not buying this crap.

LMBO!!! some of you on here are ridiculous, I have the HTC 10 with the Snapdragon 820 chipset, and it performs great due to the Optimization that HTC has done with their software.

What we keep forgetting is that the Optimization is what's important, not the numbers.

I don't care if there was a chipset with 12 cores that came out for a phone, if the optimization is not in that OEM'S mind to work friendly with the chipsets, it's pointless to me.

xoOox, 06 Feb 2017For sure is G6, but still is SD821 because the internal num... moreLol. People complain because this is LG's flagship. Why would anyone want a 1 year old processor on a 2017 flagship?

The SD 835 is 40% more power-efficient than the SD 821. Which will give SO much more than the extra "5 minuts of on screen time" that you claim. Maybe an hour more.

When the processor is more power-efficient, it will use less power and resources. This mean that the phone won't easily overheat, and the phone will handle CPU and GPU task more fluidly without hiccups.

Btw, LG's software is known as a battery drainer. For comparison, the LG G5 scored 60 hours battery endurance in GSMArena, while the Galaxy S7 scored 80 hours even tho both of this phone have the same 3000 mAh capacity.

The LG G6 is rumored to use LCD instead of OLED, same as LG G5. LCD uses more power compared to OLED, which mean the LG G6 needs a power-efficient processor, like the SD 835, to have a good battery life.

So, now you know why people complain about the SD 821. But, they couldn't have the SD 835 in the LG G6 because Samsung had purchased most of the SD 835.

Pricing is the key here. If they get it right, no one will care that it is last gen. SoC. Only a few geeks, but they are in the minority anyway.

Who cares? Non-removable battery is a deal breaker anyway.

It seems LG G5 will be my phone forever.

For sure is G6, but still is SD821 because the internal number of processor is 8996.

Anyway i see a lot of people saying if there 821 then not buying it...wait, if you buy a clase A mercedes in this days you maybe dont know but they come with a Renalut engine inside, still, you dont buy it right? BUT STILL A MERCEDES!! lol...

those brains thinking is worst than my dog pooping. get a brain people, still a excelent phone, the 821 is enough for the phone, i dont care...you get the same features in the phone than you get with 835.

"own, but 835 is battery efficent, more powerful" - so what? your eye will notice the difference? what? more 5 minuts of on screen time? a 0.2 seconds opeing the apps faster? oh god! this is a stupid thinking from people doesnt know what they talking.

even: you can get a 835 device from sammy or 821 from LG and still the 821 make better results in battery or screen because the software does matter anyway and if they are optimized even better.

processor is not everything on a phone...i see the Mi MIX with 821 doing worst scores than other devices with 820 inside, so...what now?

Definitely SD821, nobody cares about this worthless app, just price this phone below $500 and it will be a hit.

I started to notice LG G series is becoming a semi-flagship smartphone instead of a full fledge flagship. They need to price this lower. Their V series is more flasghip-like compare to this.

                            S820 = MSM8996

                            They use the same number.

This will be nice for the comapact version.
