I hope one of those names will mean a G6 with SD835. So far I like what I see..the only thing missing is the 2017 SD835 chipset. It will be a travesty if Sammy's S8 has the upper hand on what seem to be a fine phone due to lack of the new 2017 chip. I hope despite the rumors of SD821..they pull a surprise with the 835.

LG phones have become a lot harder to see in the wild.

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2017And that's what Samsung was doing a few years ago. Samsung ... moreTwo of those had much greater purpose. Not tiny differences

Remember their teaser? I think I understand it now. People have different needs and desires. So LG will simply make a G6 for everyone! A separate G6 for every need! One that fits well in hand, one that has a big screen, one that is reliable ect. A G6 for every customer!

There is a G6 for that.

Samsung was best known about releasing multiple versions of their flagships (do you remember S4, S4 Active, S4 Zoom, S4 Advance or LTE+, S4 Mini).

Same mistake as HTC (one, m8, m9, m8s, e8, e9, e9+, m9+, me9, ,,,,,.......) and same mistake is from xiaomi. Earlier, there was a redmi, redmi note, mi per year. If they extends it to one redmi, one redmi note, one Mi and Mi note, and one Mi max and mix, it is still OK. But
2 version per year of every lineup and they are out of top 3 even in China. Once they were 3rd worldwide.

LG decide to make as many G6 version as possible and dilute the market. Good job LG. Now, I have so many choices to buy from. G6 no longer a flagship if it have this many version. They gonna make low budget, midrange, semi flagship and flagship version in many different sizes. Lol.

They should make a G6 variant that has removable battery. Only this variant would make sense (I mean creating a G6 wariant that has the same design as the original, just smaller by 10mm or has worse SoC is useless. It makes no sense to create variants like that.).

If LG really does launch that many G6 phones, it runs the risk of diluting the brand, why all the money making schemes?
