go from s5 2800mah to s8 only 3000mah ? why so cheap on battery? should be min 3500 for the smaller s8 and atleast 4000 for the bigger.....

Actually it is a battery fault which causes battery indicator's mistake. It is because you are either charging your phone overnight or overtime or you are using the while charging. Or both

in 2014 sony xperia z2 had 3200mAh battery in 2017 samsung only manages increase it to 3500mAh - shame

Now 5" to 5"+ phone is popular because most of people need it and comfort with this size. That why no (not much) phone release with screen below 5". One hand mode? I believe below 10% people using smartphone still in that mode. Bigger screen consume more battery, so added more mAh or another solution. I'll choose: another solution but dont downgrade screen quality or size.

When the size is up from 5 5 to 6.2 and the battery size is the same it's a deal breaker unless there's some ground breaking camera experience

Thickness is not an issue why S8 just have 3000mAh but battery tech is main issue. If Samsung put 5000mAh on S8 then Xiaomi, ASUS, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, and so; will put 6000mAh (Sony and Apple will remain same: 2500-3000mAh lol= they said: it enough! Just stay/play/sleep near electrical pot all day) and compete with amount not improvement of tech. Me too hope they will put at least 4000mAh but face reality Bro. Imagine if they just compete with amount not tech!

Getting with the times? No thank you. I've been using a triple capacity battery for over a year now, and I can absolutely use my device heavily for the entire day. My device is truly wireless, internet connected, and Bluetooth earphones all day. I do not envy thin phones which need charging before going home. I do not envy you carrying a powerbank. I only use my powerbanks to charge my tablet at home since they auto turn off after reaching full charge.
You seem to be amazed with fast charging for "under 90 minutes". I practice ZERO minutes charging. I charge my phone before going to bed - that's it. I do not consciously be always needing to check my battery status. After a year or so, your battery wears out - you like wasting time going to service centers?

Then suddenly their hands got bigger and iPhone 6 pair was best seller for Apple. And also, Apple also sells a 5.5" iPhone which is as big as some 6" Droids. Actually, there are really small no of people who use their phones one handed, and most of those are in ios realm.
And also, apple fans ask " human hands getting bigger?" so I ask them, what is screen size of iPhone 4? And what is of iPhone 5? What is of 6? What is screen size of better one of this year's?

You'd soon complain if you used a non official battery and it voided your warranty when you needed it. It also helps with water and dust resistance, etc. Yes, Samsung did it with the S5 but it was an ugly phone with a flap that broke off in no time. This is why faster and faster charging and wireless solutions are becoming main focuses in battery development. Just get with the times. And it isn't too cumbersome to have a portable charger on you, some of them, though low capacity, are the size of credit cards now. In 1999, when The Phantom Menace came out, this was a thing but we don't use 3310s anymore, Mr. Maul... Young fool, only now at the end do you understand.

And these ratings are just to compare phones' battery life against some standard usage so that comparison between two phones' endurance should be easy. and u can compare it in my earlier post.
