Oncom, 10 Feb 2017Leave it to Samsung's engineers, you just enjoy it Peop... moreThe same thing happened to Sony when it started releasing waterproof phones. Everybody was attacking them saying it is useless and nobody needs it, but nowadays the best high-end flagships come with waterproof as standard.
Let the trolls troll. They don't have a life anyway.
Meanwhile if a phone doesn't have waterproof and SD card I'm not interested. So far these are the only phones worth checking: http://m.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nRamMin=3000&nIntMemMin=32000&sFreeText=SnapDragon%20820&sAvailabilities=1&sIPCerts=1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9&sOSes=2&sOSversions=2700,2710&idCardslot=1

By this patent design it's gonna be more like LG Flex2 meets clamshell, which would be a shame tbh. A booklet design could be useful. A >5" screen on the outside, >7" on the inside, like the image GSMA used...

As long as they make the phone wider not taller when folded out. Their phones will be too tall as it is. 16:9 is enough.

The flexible mostly will survive for 6-12 month (experienced from nokia slide phone), so i'll never buy this phone

Of course, naturally, there is no secrets can be kept forever. Even if its gonna be a closed event I can guarantee leaks will be spread soon enough. Samsung promised was inly to let us 'see' not 'sell' it. This will be like the event they held to showcase Note Edge prototype back then. You can expect it to look ugly; as always the case with prototype.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2017Samsung copying Lenovo.Lenovo copied Samsung. Samsung concept established since 2013. There's even a concept video dated back to 2013 and event showcasing YOUM display. Lenovo concept was only released last year with no future goal or even financial capability to make their so-called foldable phone a reality unlike Samsung here as we all can see is already going into the production phase.

... last year it was said that we will see foldable smartphone from Samsung in early 2017... now it says that production will happen in Q4 and we will see actual phone next year... what society is this?
