HTC Quietly Brilliant!
No I don't think so anymore.
Where is the innovation. We want to see new stuff every year come on.
Since the HD2,to be honest, HTC introduced nothing new but OS upgrades and LooL, S-LCDs.

Its all part of their strategy ! Its so simple that others wont see it lol ''let down blabla , you suck blabla'' . I think HTC wanted to see all the devices launched and then kick tail with its big dog. Follows all the logic uptil now . When SGS or X10 launch they waited and launched DHD to kill all. Follows the same logic. Plus their aim is seems to acquire a different market. ITs sad we didnt get any new impressive phones but the big boys are coming in quarter 2 . You cannot only build dual cores , quad etc. But Others are impressive nuff said.Even nokia didnt launch crap. Il wait b4 buying they are hiding something im guessing. Will get rid of my ip4 xD

Here's mine.
I love to cha cha and I love to salsa but I sense it's silly coz they only play mozart. The desire is incredible I want to stay and dance but am too smart as I see a wildfire coming, therefore I must do a flyer and get gone.

This update is no different from rooting the Original desire and installing custom Android 2.3 ROM courtesy of xda. Nice going HTC! Am sure a lot of Desire users will be looking else where. This update is more for those who have never owned a Desire.

Agree with most here, Own the Original Desire but I feel let down by this release it's as if they are aiming it at a totally different clientèle coz naturally most people who own the desire were expecting better.
My upgrade is due in march, had been planning on sticking with the desire range but it will not be happening. Desire HD2 is too big for my liking Desire S lucks the punch of today's standards a shame really.

To be honest between
HTC Incredible S
and
HTC Desire
i've not see any differences. So what the point to produce two similar smart phones?
BTW i missed HTC Desire HD2 and hope to see very soon with best possible features and best camera phone lens for photos.

Dear HTC - we gave you our love and support for years and years; then what do you do? You go and spit in our faces. We will show you with our wallets just what we think of you! You know, they really didn't have to look far to find something new to add to their fones and add a bit of value for the users - a simple FRONT FACING CAMERA would have made the world of difference. HTC has over a dozen droids, and not even one of them has a video call cam.

I must agree with everyone here and voice my utter disappointment with the lazyness which htc has shown. i own a htc desire and was waiting for a big htc announcent to indicate my next phone this year, and now it certainly won't be a htc phone.
The desire s isn't an upgrade its more of a step sideways, better camera and processor but worse screen technology. Maybe we all thought too much of htc this time last year as they were massively innovative, but maybe they hit a rare genuis moment which allowed them to punch massively above their weight. Now all they can do is release dozens of the exact same phones with minimal upgraded features and a new name. This fools iphone fans the world wide each year but fortunately android allows the public so much choice you don't have to get stuck with that lazyness
