Wait... isn't Xiaomi the first one who will launch the Mi6 Mediatek Version?
So... what happened? Or Xiaomi is losing again their edge and they are losing against even Vernee?
Elephone with MTK Helio X30 and the Meizu one are near to appear... what the heck Xiaomi?

Only when I see a performance comparison, not benchmarks, will I begin believe Mediatek is capable of making decent chipsets. Until then, Mediatek fanboys are supporting a cheap, underwhelming and bad quality product.

True, a single A73 (in Kirin 960, which is newer) is slightly better than the one year old Kryo, but Kryo>A72. If you must compare A73, you must do it with the to-be-released Kryo 280 in SD 835.
BTW, what is your gold standard? Mediatek? HiSilicon?

Qualcomm is not that good at making CPUs (similarly krait CPUs had IPC close to cortex A9 all the while the market was full with cortex A15 and even A57 at some point).

Had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Mediatek).... and it used to get hot very quick. Sold it after a week.

Specs wise this will be my next dream phone, but still it depends on built quality too. MediaTek Helio X30 is almost there if not at par with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 already, sceptics will troll.

I believe there will be a tiny difference between them. (as I recall the scores. the Helio X30 gets an avarage 165k Pts with 4 GB ram. so I guess with a whopping 8 it'll strike 190.
FOR COMPARING. Snapdragon 835 gets 210k with just 4...
GEEKBENCH scores:
S.C. 2103/M.C. 6400 for Helio
for Snapdragon 1996/5998
and I work in Mediatek. so trust me on that.
