ayt here is how i see this as a long term samsung galaxy s and note user, the samsung branding at the bottom sux, curved sreens are nice to look at not really functional yet, lack of fm radio sux as well it should be standard, realy wish they will anounce an exynos chip coz snapdragons have always sucked more than exynos primaryly because of thier poor power management which leads to sh#tty battery life and or high heat that forces performance drops that make users feel like cr@p for choosing phones with sd SoC. we will see how much sasamsung has done to improve from the s7 series, hope they dont go all cr@py minded and start reducing battery capacities and making claims that they have optimised thier hardware to use less power coz that obviously means bad performance when a user needs quick responses not some slugish f@ck phone.

I don't think it will have the fingerprint sensor on the back. It should be under the display as Samsung was going to use a recently made synaptics optical sensor.

AnonD-234961, 13 Feb 2017Actually Samsung will have its own Exynos 8895 chipset to p... morei don't think so.. SAMSUNG brought the entire badge of the SD 835 to thire S8. SAMSUNG is the who is building SD835 itself. so they use all the resourecs to building it and they made a partnership with them to get the first badge of chips.. that is the reason that G6 is comming with a SD821 chip.. SAMSUNG didn't even announced a chip reacently... so looking at these details S8 will only ship with SD835

I was very excited about the early news that told us about an embedded fingerprint sensor under the glass and I was preparing my wallet to get that phone but now I'm really switched off by the stupid location of the sensor and the shameful battery size capacity for both variants! I'm skipping this one and waiting for the A9 Pro (2017 edition), with a notification LED hopefully!

Looks good, but not being able to use a decent screen protector due to the curved edges makes it a fragile investment. I have an S7 Edge and I worry a lot about the screen, since there are no good screen protectors to use.
On the other hand, the LG G6 will have a flat screen so you can protect it from day one.
And finally, the "5.7 inch" or "5.8 inch" screen sizes are quite misleading, because a long but narrow screen is not much more usable than a shorter 16:9 screen at the same width.

Hehe, SD835, last year's Exynos was barely slower. It will cost Samsung that they moved away from Exynos, it was their jewel SoC (just check how it dominated the snapdragon variant last year).
They wanted to hoard Snapdragons to the point that they made thier phone worse (by not developing an Exynos of their own). Sad!
Samsung fans lose (bad Snapdragon for all this year 'round), LG Fans lose (no SD 835). Bad Samsung , bad!

So just to be clear, is the stereo speaker thing still on the cards? A lot of the older renders had an extra speaker grille at the top right, but in recent renders it seems to be gone.
Also, in this render, it shows the default Android on screen buttons (namely the triangle, square and circle). Would Samsung not use their own split window and backwards arrow icons which are present on all their phones rather (I know it's just an artist's impression so it may just be an example - still curious though).

How practically ergonomic will it be handle the device with such small bezels on all sides? Slim bezels create problem to type and navigate... the palm touches the screen before the finger
