True , 4gb of ram is a pain on android.., I mean on MagicalWizzard Ui or whatever is the name. Even 2gb or ram is freaking enought on most phones with optimized Ui like google ,sony , xiaomi etc. Anyway 16GB of DDR5X should satisfy a light samsung user , so finger crossed for you :-)

I understand that it is to get a bigger screen size but the removal of the (much loved IMO) home button is a deal breaker for me.

Forget the boring 4Gb S8, where is the Note8? Ther was no Note5 in Europe, they made an explosive Note7, where is the new Note? We won't be waiting forever or buy a mediocre phone (S8).

S7 has one huge advantage over S8: I can buy it right now, unlike unreleased, unofficial S8. Price was good so I just went and bought it. Tried practically every other device I could find with similarly awesome hardware, picked S7 because it was best all-around. Didn't like Edge model.

S, 15 Feb 2017Guys, complaining about 4GB of ram? Seriously?You obviously don't get it. Especially by their respiration and price bracket samsung would be pulling an apple type move to only offer 4GB of ram.
And yes more would help the performance.
It's a bit of a let down knowing how far behind the s8 would be in the department compared to even cheap phones last year yet be one if the most expensive phones with the biggest reputation.
If yoy don't see why it updates people you are not using your brain. This is not some $200 mid Ranger. This is going to be an $800+ flagship a the year after even half price mid rangers offered more.
