to be perfectly honest, after buying the smartwatch 3, I can see why sony gave up, got the all metal one too & a month in I wished I got the moto 360, any good new smart watches on the market that aren't built to be a personal trainer... because who enjoys being told you don't exercise enough ammiriteee

Have you seen Apple Watch? and thats the most selling smartwatch to date. There is nothing wrong with their (Sony's) design but with their marketing, timely availability and pricing.

They never learn from their mistake. That square sharp-cornered brick design is unacceptable for most people.
Sony.. you have great future in ps and camera sensor technology.
But not in phone and smartwatch.

They should've given up the smartphone market as well. Paid a flagship 'price' for Z5 but got a 'crap' support in return!

I have an android Smart watch, somewhere... I didn't charge it one day and then I forgot to ever do it again...I Have not missed it at all... I was actually thinking on getting a normal watch instead.

The SmartWatch 3 is on par with today watches in terms of hardware. I think that Sony is waiting for hardware that make a difference in the SmartWatch business like more efficient displays and SOCs, more dense batteries, or Bluetooth 5.0 to have applications... SmartWatch 3 was a hit in 2014,actually all it needs is a heartrate monitor to be on par with today's generation.

xperia z update from 4.1 - 5.1 put sony the most generous in terms update. galaxy S3 only update once put sammy the worse.
Motorola was the fastest push update
