The Galaxy S7/edge already have fast wireless charging, one of the best camera, and amazing display. So any upgrade on the Galaxy S8 would just 'look' like a minimal upgrade (which it isn't. Iris scanner, 80-90% screen-to-body ratio, SD 835, a more power efficient AMOLED, upgraded front and rear camera, is a big upgrade to me)
Like one commenter said, everything has limits.

They could have removed the "samsung" logo. could have used the "galaxy" logo instead, or may be s9 will have a functional area.

You're saying SD835 is barely better, but I think 25% less overall power usage, 25% power increase in gpu and 27% in cpu while being 35% smaller is a lot. You don't understand how technology so dont complain.

Gone are the days that Samsung would cram in their phones the best available technology.
Amidst SD835 being barely better than last year's Exynos (couldn't they build a new Exynos for this year 'round?), the low battery and ram choices directly taken from last year one has to wonder. Has Samsung lost touch?
Especially given how much more pricey this generation is , despite only being a jump in the looks department (and arguably a downgrade in some other places, like battery and comfort of use).
I honestly hope that S8 won't sell as Samsung hopes, hopefully causing her to make a hard turn into her initial values (putting the best hardware in smaller prices than Apple's).
