For many years running Samsung brought out a new Galaxy S. Not this year though.

            Just ditch this Sony company. There are plenty smartphones out there that comes with an IP rating, more premium and most importantly more economical than this company. Sammy, Apple and Huawei did a better job in terms of software.

The S series was always popular commercially but each had it's own personality and reception.

              S was a decent first offering flaunting an AMOLED screen and beginning Samsung's spec war with the iPhone.

              S2 was a critical success, widely seen as a ground-breaking smartphone with it's "huge" 4.3 inch screen, "powerful" dual-core chipset, 8 MP (WOW!) camera and boxy rectangular design.

              S3 was a worthy successor to S2, with a fresh inspired-by-nature rounded pebble design, large 4.8" HD screen (so sharp!), quad core processor (4 cores, can you believe it?) and new UI with IceCream Sandwich.

              S4 was a bit of a let-down. Sure it had a sharp 1080p screen, 13MP camera and an octa-core chipset (in some regions). But there was growing criticism over the punchy AMOLED colours, non-evolved design, removal of FM Radio and gimmicky features.

              S5 was the under-appreciated, under-rated last "true Samsung" flagship. Combining water resistance with removable battery, it had a bright 1080p screen, nice 16MP camera, good battery life and powerful SD801 chipset. But criticisms over the plasticky (but nevertheless strong) build & the generic design proved to be too much against a rich field of Xperia Z2, LG G3, HTC One M8 & iPhone 6.

              S6 was Samsung's reset. It featured a stunning metal & glass design (with an even more stunning S6 edge design), bright camera, pin-sharp QHD screen, power-packed yet efficient Exynos 7420 chipset (against a backdrop of over-heating SD810 rivals). Critics praised it's design but some die-hard Samsung loyalists were left fuming with the omission of SD card, relatively small battery, sealed non-removable battery.

              S7/S7 edge was the return to glory for Samsung. It pleased both the critics and fans, with an elegant curved glass/metal design, dual-pixel f/1.7 12MP camera, good screen, powerful chipset, a large battery life. The return of SD card and water resistance was welcomed by all and Samsung had a winner on it's hand with the right mix of innovation and elegance.

              As for S8......only time will tell! :P

                You must be delusional, fall of galaxy S? Well then the Galaxy S8 couldn't be the most awaited smartphone of the year. Galaxy S series brings the best smartphone every year. And it has touched the world's best looking smartphone milestone since the sexy galaxy S6 edge.

                  A force enough to make dinosaurs extinct and still survive now i start to think Samsung galaxy series must have a survivability of a roach throw thew nukes and they will still survive

                        I don't think the S-series has ever fallen. It's been going strong since it's inception and will probably continue the trend for the foreseeable future.

                                      So basically, we should try and try and never quit. Who knows what might work :)

                                        For me Z series are the best. Nobody can suggest to buy Samsung even if ram is 6GB I will never buy. Samsung phones will start lagging and won't last long. From my personal experience Sony phones are the best android phones.
