Blackberry die hard, 20 Feb 2017Blackberry make a meaningless statement just like DJT H... moreYou can't just "add" an OS like applying a coat of paint! The process of incorporating an in-house OS is way more complex and intensive than that and with the current situation they are in, BlackBerry could probably ill afford it....

Here is the thin TCL make the Andriod phone so why can't TCL make the BB phone and
    Blackberry add the Os

Apple releases ONE phone per year.
I read here that when BB annnounce no more Blackberries
Washington Senate / Congress staff had to choose another phone
So not Blackerry the iPhone was one
why join an overcrowded and insecue pool.
Blackberry have installed one of the best MP3 and MP4 plaeyer into a 2013 phone

          Dear BlackBerry

Please don't worry about what Gartner reports because just like the way they have reported your sales to be 0.0% of the market share, the same percentage is true of the world's richest. So keep selling your handsets to the richest 0.0% of the world and you are still doing better than the rest.

            @Blob
but Whatsapp apk doesn't run on BB like other android app you partner downloaded from amazon store. If it works you don't care if they pull the plug on BBos.... I'm intersted for me, I'm considering to buy a BB Classic if it can run android's Watsapp (sideloaded). Let me know, please.

My partner has a Blackberry Classic. She is very happy with the phone. However, WhatsApp are pulling the plug, which is really annoying, otherwise, she loves her Classic.

It also has the ability to run some Android apps via the Amazon marketplace...

The main problem for Blackberry is that the shops are not stocking their phones. They want to stick to a select small and boring range of phones.

I am looking forward to the Blackberry Mercury.

I wish there were more keyboard phones.

In my household we love keyboard phones, but the Priv was nearly there, but I did n't like the slide element.

There are people who miss physical buttons on phones....

There's more to it than just making hardware and making the OS. Enterprises demand a full ecosystem of special-tailored services, applications and support. BB gets this.

Emails allow for attachments of videos, images plus skype is going on the web. Whatsapp will at some point too. Since email works on every phone from $20 -900 think of the savings.

I find the notion of paying 700 for a handset to text on whatsapp a bit silly.

Like it or not, BB has shifted towards Android.
It's dishonest to claim BB's death based on the discontinued BBOS sales, that's actually their plan -- stop BBOS sales and pivot to enterprise-grade Android software and services.
