just accepted the update to 7 on my S7. When will i learn to just say NO. I am guessing there is no such thing as user acceptance testing prior to these releases. Either that or I am one of the few business users that actually uses the phone as a "phone". to make calls. to contacts.
now once again I have to learn how to use a crappy user interface that is far inferior to what I purchased.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2017Thanks Spike, at least someone agrees that there isn't much... moreSure thing. No.1 one is battery. Everything in the cell phone rely on it. So you can give me the best apps and update. bad battery is going to throw everything away

Yesterday I got the Android 7.0 update for my S7 & I installed it.
Observed difficulties in several aspects like,
The phone book category became difficult,
Unable to access the phone book while on a call,
Difficult to copy & past the contact details etc...

AnonD-594761, 19 Feb 2017Then why would you buy an s8 it then its not its going to d... moreOf course it won't, I have no intentions buying the S8 at all. Never said I wanted to. I've chosen the S7 over the S6 because:

                - better camera
                - the S7 is waterproof
                - expendable storage
                - the S7 was out for months, so the price difference wasn't that much

The S8 isn't going to change the world and as I've heard it will be bigger than 5.2" which is already a big no for me. It's also going to be super expensive when it comes out (like all other smartphones) so it's pointless to buy it on the day it comes out. The S7's Exynos 8890 and 4 GB RAM will be probably enough until the S9 comes out, lol.

A long lasting battery is nice sure, but we live in the age of quick charge. You plug your phone in for 30 minutes and it goes up to 60-70% from flat. Even 15 minutes on the charger gives you a 30% boost. So unless you're hunting Pokémon all day long, I don't think that it's a big deal.

All those fixes are great but the battery will sig go down! Why on earth do I need the update?

To all the people who are unsatisfied with not getting the Nougat update on unlocked devices still, why are you so eager to get it? I mean yeah, my unlocked S7 didn't get it still either, but what's the hype about? It's not like 7.0 is going to make your battery last twice as long or something.

It's annoying that they are so slow with releasing the update, but for me 6.0.1 works fine still. The multi-window support is already implemented. Some apps (like Telegram) have the option to reply from the notification bar without having to open the app itself. So besides the security patch and some minor changes, why are you looking so forward to update your Android version?

I have the unlocked international version SM-G930F(flat) it has Samsungs own exynos processor in it and they have failed to update it to nougat before the carriers when they promise we get updates first besides google devices maybe the region has something to do with it I bought this from rentacenter in the USA and so did a friend which had unofficial firmware but we reflashed them to offical samsung firmware they both have the CSC Code TTT (trinidad and tobago) kind of clueless as to why when it was clearly purchased in the USA I was under the impression rentacenter purchased these phones straight from samsung but why would samsung ship them to the united states with that region code it also states on the bottom of the box that it only supports american sim cards if we dont get the update soon we will just use firmware from a different region
