I've had accounts from multiple developers who have said coding for Android is just plain difficult. They are building from the ground up, though, and not using tools such as Unity or others. I think this makes a big difference.
I would completely agree with you, though, that more and more of this is attributed to money and how it is used in each environments.

You will be constantly shown that your post won't be shown until it's aprooved by moderator. Most of the time your comments wouldn't show or even if they did show, it would be very late. You would have to wait a day or 2.

The same with games, creating game, for example in unity, its seriously easy and doesnt even requirer that much work for simple projects.
As you said is more about money, because iOS users will pay for anything, and its not even my biased opinion, its the truth. Android users are more cautious in selecting apps.
But biggest problem is Android market it self, Google really messed it up, not only by lack simple search settings, but their algorithms for promoting apps are hilariously bad, and without spending money on advertising and download generators, your app will not even show in "related" section of similar apps/games.
Not to mention that those algorithms almost always show bunch of apps and games from biggest companies, and bunch of shady apps like 1000 versions of flashlight or another copy of candy crush.
You need to spend more money on advertising in android market compared to iOS, and Apple if you like it or not, have better algorithms and quality check of apps. Thats it.

Coding for Android is difficult, and most developers lack the talent required. This is just how it is.

I think the writer's modus operandi, is to surf on the iOS App store and just check if there is an Android version available. Week & again people complain about this, yet no change seems to occur. I don't think GSMA is open to suggestions, but the mods do happily and eagerly delete comments, like mine probably will be.

Every week there is more complains in this category than anything else, and why wouldn't they. If gsmarena is concerned about it's reputation then they should scrap this section or get someone who is a bit interested in what they are doing. In the current situation even getting a 6 year old to run this would be a better option.

I think you need to rethink this category and build it from the ground up.
There are so many ways you can do this but I understand that you need it to cover the basics but also be interesting to the reader.
I dare say you need to maybe catagorise this blog for games and apps and maybe down to OS level too.

He said him self in Christmas article "Favorite Apps" that he actually is not interested in apps and games, and he use only iPhone.
Its like taking person that dont like cars and dont know how to drive at all and ask him to be a F1 driver.
As I said many times, and many times Prasad as "professional" journalist delete my comment , those articles "best games and apps" are nothing more that copy/paste from front page of apple/google market. 0 own contribution in this.
This Article section should be platform for new apps and games made by smaller devs that make amazing apps that need some attention to be even better. But no, its just "omg, I need to write something again about apps and games..."

Prasad - stop being so iOS fanboy... Add android games as well... Just because you use iPhone does not mean that you must put only iOS apps in this article...

I Appreciate that GSMArena provides Best Apps and Games of the Week but it would be nice if equal number of Apps and Games for android and ios are reviewed hence the post won't be tagged as biased. :) peace out!
