Anonymous, 24 Feb 2011blackberry users just look at "BBM". such close m... moreBlackberry is the most secure network. Even in Egypt, the government could not over power the world phone by blackberry. If you like your email every 5 to 10 minutes, get an Iphone. I sold my Ipad and Iphone, I did not like how slow it was. Plus when Apple tells you that you can not load Flash, it was all over. Also Ipad and Iphones are PCI compliant for processing credit cards on them. So I agree that some of the phones you mentioned are newer but not better. I need stable and secure environments and those other phones dont offer that sorry.

blackberry users just look at "BBM". such close minded people, do they not know that blackberry is a thing of the past, update your world, technology is here, apple, samsung,lg,motorola. Grab a blackberry of 8 years ago and conpare it, you will laugh for how much they are the same.

It lags because it runs on PRE-RELEASE OS/software/UI/firmware people. That or it's plain simple bad codes going on.If it's the latter then more megahertz, core or GPU threads can't save it.Plus do remember that this is RIM/BB we're talking about here. They're new at this smartphones' gigahertz war so obviously some noob mistakes are bound to happen.
This is why as much as I prefer to self config my own PCs and try to keep up with tech, the same rule of thumb applies:- No matter what Moore's law says, a shitty OS can kill it.The faster and better chips get,the more excuse for coders to slack off on efficiencies.Google Con Kolivas' APC mag interview to see my point.
Example:- Just try running Windows 7 64 and any mainstream desktop Linux 64 dual boot on a same machine and trust me when I say that 9 out 10 separate boots and actual use you'll find it hard to argue that Linux is still way way faster even with shitty proprietary graphics' drivers.Just not on emulating Windows and PC games. No matter if we want to cross that "Windows vs. Linux" bridge, facts are facts.
Same thing when you look at Android or smartphone OS in general. Why does WP7 set quite a midrange bar compared to its rivals for example?Sure the majority of all Android phones today are capable enough with each' respective default versions at product launch. But it's weird that more than half the time no one seem to question how or why "updates" optimize better use over time even on the same hardware or how come custom ROMs can fix performance issues.
Better tweaks.Better codes.

I am happy to hear that Blackberry are going to make these multimedia devices.
This is going to be an HTC killer. Forget the OS, Blackberry OS6 is a nice platform, and on top of everything its a Blackberry so welcome to the world.
Will be one of the first to get this one, once released.

A full touchscreen with a trackpad! Perfect I have been waiting for this for a while.
Have you noticed the bigger the touch screens are getting the more difficult it is to use the phone with one hand. I like to quickly browse through emails and apps and the trackpad has been the best for me so I'm glad they are incorporating it on their full touchscreen devices as aswell. I wouldn't want to have to been swyping my fingers across the screen all the time while holding the phone in the other!
Good job RIM. Now they just have to make it more of a multimedia friendly phone and not just focus on business
