Microsoft is so fast-paced that it prefers to jump a generation in order to provide finalised customer-ready device.

Too far out MS. You need to have it to market no later than Q1 2018. Beyond that, people will loose interest like they did 20 years ago with the early VR tech.

The concept is awesome. But in practical usage terms, Microsoft need to whip their ass to push developers filling it's contents. They should define how the consumer version will looks like. Depending on the form factor of the consumer version of hololens, developers can create any contents they deem fit. That only if the consumer version is affordable enough to reach the masses.
