I actually like the rear design of the Moto G5. Score one for removable battery lovers. My main gripe with it is Snapdragon 430, the height thanks to the bezels, and 2 GB RAM. This could easily replace my Moto E 2nd gen but want something shorter and with 4 GB RAM as minimum. Because 4 GB seems to be the new sweet spot for me.
I used to bash Qualcomm in 2015 after their failed attempts with the 810 but they nailed it with the 820 with the proper OEM optimization (Samsung, aside). The Snapdragon 820 is the best SoC they made since the 801. I think Lenovo/Motorola is at least attempting to provide removable battery if LG decides to follow everyone's motives.

But if one has to look a little better appealing, it has to be the G4 Plus because of its differentiating design. Somewhat similar, but not totally a rip-off. This G5 Plus's front fp scanner definitely looks like from Samsung no doubt. I prefer the back of the G5, but the G4 Plus's front is definitely betted

It's better to have huge bezel if the build quality is robust, can survive drops, rather than bezel-less fragile Shame-Mi crap. 2 GB RAM is still unacceptable though, but I'm sure there will be a version with 3GB RAM.

I mean don't they think there's another way of making a fp scanner other than copying Samsung? They could've shaped it like a Diaomond or Square, but they decided to copy Samsung anyways. Even if the same, I still prefer the G4 Plus's fp scanner design mainly because it's just original
