I'm not sure what Huawei is thinking. Every flagship phone is getting rid of the bezels, but Huawei has made them even bigger on p10

xvi, 23 Feb 2017Home buttons are so 2012. Way to go backwards. You have to search for youtube or find the shop that you can try this Huawei home button. Then come back and think it twice before judge it.

I think it's quite great if they will use the Home button like Mate 9 Pro and Mediapad M3 because you can change it to use one tap, long tap and swipe for easily clear your recent background applications. I can guaranteed it that you can see many brands those were using this home button style but for Huawei phone you will love the way what they've made with both software and hardware of this button style.

Yes alot of phones have front home buttons but its style and design is pretty much how samsungs been doing it for years.

No comparison to the iPhone 7 but still better than most LCDs. Not to forget that LED screens are more efficient than LCDs and have better contrasts.

Guys,
I actually like the design. I like it a lot. A front facing fingerprint reader is the way to go (at least for me). It doubles as a home button and reduces the clutter on the back panel. In addition to that it has borrowed some of the things that made the iPhone 7 successful. In addition to that I hope that it would have LCD screen. As much as I like AMOLED screens they have their downsides: PWM (which destroys your eyes when the brightness is less than maximum), Burn in (individual subpixels wear out at different speeds), slightly unnatural colors (compared to LCD). It would appeal to me as an iPhone user who wants to switch to something similar but not made by Apple (I hate them as a company, though). I like that they will present 2 versions of the device. The regular P10 will appeal to the Apple crowd and the P10+ will appeal to the Android crowd who want High-Res Amoled Curved screen, back-panel fingerprint reader and on-screen buttons (all of which me and other people don't like as much). I believe that this year they will sell even more devices from the P-line (probably 15-20 million) due to the approach that I have just mentioned. I also hope that the battery life will be better than the one from last year and that the headphone jack will produce a bit louder audio. If the initial price is OK in my country I will immediately buy it (the regular P10).

AnonD-123017, 23 Feb 2017my P9 is much more beatiful!Yup.
Huawei took a step backwards with design this year. It actually follows a lot of what the P7 and P8 looked like. White P9/P9 Plus was the best phone design I saw last year. Not the S7 edge/Note7.
2017 doesn't look too exciting so far. Where is the Galaxy X (foldable display) and the iPhone X already? And hopefully a much better design for all future Pixel phones since Gen 1 was trash like the G1 in 2008.
Google should come up with a 10 year anniversary Android phone too for next year. Honestly these days, phones are like fashion accessory like nice shoes and toys for people. Incremental upgrades where the hype and anticipation is never worth it at the end. We will get bored fast.
The iPhone X will amaze us all but Apple likely recycles it next year. Companies should move on into different technologies. We peaked with phones and most of them now are taking away features. That's why I don't care if people say LG G5 is ugly. At least LG won't rehash the same design again for a flagship like Apple, Samsung, HTC, and Sony are guilty of doing.
