Sony's Z4 tablet has an inefficient Snapdragon 810, QHD screen and exactly the same 6000mAh battery. Yet it scored an excellent 105 hour battery endurance rating. So I don't think the battery capacity of this Archos is half-bad, even with the Mediatek chipset.

These Archos devices are decidedly low end. But to their credit, they are really rugged and seem to run pure stock Android.

If we say that the users for these devices are going to be average users not knowing much about how to use a device very efficiently (closing apps etc) than it could be really sluggish. (no offense to average users, but this is clearly aimed at people who work in an environment where they could break their devices easily, so how can we assume that they'll have time to worry about average things)

2GB of ram is the bare minimum nowadays in my opinion, be it phone or tablet.

Go try using a 1gb ram device and you will know what I mean.

Ew. MediaTek+1GB RAM= fail. Add 1280×800 on a 10.1 tablet and you get a very epic fail. And 6000 mAh is small for a 10.1 tablet. Tab A 10.1 has 7300 and 1920×1200.

My workplace provided an Android tablet (with a 'generous' 1GB of Ram, running Lollipop) to help in productivity, but end up many have been damaged as they get flunged/hit due to lag/auto exit when handling even the simplest of task... Ram matters a lot when it comes to the gadget serving you or becoming a nuisance...

AnonD-151701, 23 Feb 2017It's 2017 and devices still have 1 GB RAM?You don't need more than 1gb ram to view pdf files, check mail, use office apps etc. This is what this tablet will be used for. It is not a hipster rugged design for people who might drop it from their couch or spill some latte over it. It is ment for construction sites, workshops, outdoor workers etc.

Sadly Archos seems to have pulled out of my part of Europe completely.

The one "local" online store that had them listed stripped their storefront clean of anything Archos.

It is a certified rugget tablet for professional users who don't care about QHD and multitasking but rather seek a device which can be used on construction sites etc.
