Alimehdi, 25 Feb 2017Samsung too was using 4GB of RAM if one plus was using 4GB.... moreBetter ram management. Like I said the initial Oneplus firmware was full of bugs. Honestly just look oneplus 3 tests from August 2016 onwards, it's not even close.

And again it's not due to optimization as the rest of 6GB phones show a similar behavior from the get go (for example le eco 3), ie crash lower ram phones. OnePlus 3 was rushed into production with an incomplete firmware, once the issues were fixed it was in its regular self.

OnePlus 3T had no such issues at all in fact..,

Alimehdi, 25 Feb 2017Samsung too was using 4GB of RAM if one plus was using 4GB.... moreIt's because the One Plus 3 had a more aggressive memory management scheme in place... And it also helped save battery charge.

In other words it's an outdated test, even C4etech show one plus 3 to be faster once ram fix is applied (which it did after August 2016).

Basically OnePlus was only using 4GB of ram (in most occations) due to prerelease software bugs... again that's not lack of optimization, that's an easily fixable bug (that they did solve shortly)

In later C4etech test oneplus is referred as the king (and is only overtaken by oneplus 3t). Pay closer attention.

Alimehdi, 24 Feb 2017See a speed test netween Galaxy J7 prime which has 3GB of r... moreI very much doubt it. The Huawei has 2GB of ram, means it reloads more assets more frequently. You always have to keep in mind that most things are recalled from memory in typical use (unless you religiously kill background apps, which is inadvisable), so the 3GB phone will win if not always, most of the times. Even if it loses it will be because too many apps run in the background (I mean 3rd party services like the ones Samsung is fond of sanding a phone with), nothing to do with optimization.

Most phones are similarly optimized, some run more things (at the same time) and some less and that's the whole story. IOS often feels snappier because of how few things it actually runs, that's both a good thing (snappier!) and bad (you can genuinely do fewer thing on ios).

Alimehdi, 24 Feb 2017Oh really? Ram is important, ha? Do not know Iphone 7 have ... moreStop talking about things you don't know, you make a fool of yourself.

Optimization is not a large factor in computer science. Look for example the latest advances on AI, they form an almost linear line following hardware advances.

Similarly iOS is not optimized, it merely uses much less resources for backgrounding, that means that you have far less features from background apps, no messenger headers, no taker tasks, no Greenify, etc...

iphone back round apps use almost 1/10th of RAM available as compared to android background apps. That in turn means that 2 or 3G of ram is enough for countless apps on iOS, not so for android. And there is nothing OEMS can do about it, that's core android architecture, if you are to use less ram you'll get a slower android phone , period. The relationship between the two is 1:1 , just look all the comparisons between 4GB and 6GB phones ... 6GB phones win ALWAYS .

I challenge you to find one real time test (ie one that includes backgrounding ) were 4GB phones are even close to 6GB phones. Stop defending a bad practice, they make your phone slow and you're fine by it, stop being such a sucker and learn the relationship between hardware and software (mucheck stronger than most think, in mature systems like android).

I prefer LG as a company over Samsung but the key for both early purchases is getting the freebies when you pre-order either one. I remember the Gear VR was free if you pre-ordered the S7 edge last year and LG gave nice freebies too when the V10 came out. That's the one advantage of being an early bird adopter. Freebies!

But you will also pay higher upfront along with being the guinea pig to all the software/hardware bugs that early production units comes with. Or you wait a few months and get a free Samsung TV like what Best Buy did or great deal like T-Mobile offering the 4 month old V20 for $360 for a day with new contract.

Samsung basically hoarded all the Snapdragon 835's like what Tim Cook has done with Apple for years hoarding all the best components with their deep pockets. The rest the table scraps. I hate Apple's philosophy which is fascism. I hope both greedy companies go down someday. Or just avoid altogether and get phones that offer better value from LG, Nokia, Motorola, Xiaomi, and Huawei.

For anyone complaining about the SD821, just wait for the LG V30 which I hope LG brings back removable battery. Just be aware of the freebies with you pre-order any of these Android flagships.
