Google has renamed its Messenger app to Android Messages [updated]

Aside from the name-change, the other changes included are bug fixes, stability improvements, and simpler sign-up for enhanced features on supported carriers.

            What a childish, stupid move to change the name and a dumb name on top of it. I love Google but don't want to be totally locked into one ecosystem so I use Viber for messaging and Swiftkey rather than Google keboard.
