Lose many shortage that usal people can't tell. Just need to say it's improved display. Thats what they call QHD+. Also i think fingerprint scanner on screen is security danger. Fingers touching screen all time and some people keeping in phone all bank's card's account's, and hack that will be much esier and quickier. Individual finger print scanner is much more security safe.

When it first came out it was slower than the S7 Edge despite having 50% more memory and the phone was basically sluggish at times. The problem was isolated to poor memory management. So after a few days OP pushed out an OTA update expressly to remedy that issue. Now we see a phone that in a number of YouTube videos is demonstrably faster and more responsive than the S7 and S7 Edge. It is not a huge difference but it demonstrable. So when people say more memory is not worth it I beg to differ especially considering how cheap the extra memory probably is. It is absolutely dependent on good managment but no amount of management can make up for memory that is simply not there. I'm afraid I don't consider 4GB of RAM sufficient for a flagship phone that costs around, or upwards, of 1000 Euros when phones substnatially cheaper have more. I just see it as cheapskate cost cutting excercise.

AnonD-546724, 25 Feb 2017I still can't believe it only came with 4gb ram Sony still uses 3GB RAM and it's on par with the rest of the high-end flagships from other brands which use 4GB. It's all about good software optimization.
But considering the huge amount of bloatware Sammy has on it's phones, yeah, it should have 6GB, at least on the S8+.
On the other hand you can have 10GB RAM, but if the software optimization is bad, it will feel like you only have 1 or 2.

Why go for a thousand dollar smart phone every other year, it's basically war of titbits, number game and here and there mids. I am still using Note 4 and fully satisfied. Another two years will do. Basic features are same, except plus minus here and there.. 4k resolution or 5G would be a major difference. Test is waist of time!

The Galaxy S8 will also have 50% more pixels than the Galaxy S7 because of the RGB layout SAMOLED
Galaxy S7 = 7,372,800 pixels
Galaxy S8 = 11,059,200 pixels
So I see no problem with VR.
