However in this case you obviously have zero clue what you are talking about.
There are many people that game.
And not even just gaming. It's all about improvement, efficiency, sustained performance, battery consption, decoding, daily speed, 3d capabilities, even audio network stability and speed. It even matter for camera.
More powerful and efficient SoC's are very important.
We've gone from 45nm 1ghz single core chips with 200mhz weak gpu's that had like 2h screen on time to 14nm 8 core chips with high end single and multi thread capabilities that are graphical power houses while actually consuming less power allowing us to move from 4inch 480p 200 nit beightness displays to 5 and 6 inch QUAD HD and 4k displays with 500-800 nits brightness.
And now we have virtual reality capabilities and moving on to actual progress in playstation 2 emulation.

This definitely looks amazing. Depending on how the Pixel 2 and Note 8 turn out this could be a top contender. Shame it isn't using amoled though.

G2 for its time had about the smallest bezels, Im mentioning it as its the most bezel less phone I used . Although enough for a phone I agree, and less bezel than that is ridiculous, it felt kinda clumsy in my hand for one hand operating. My thumb in portrait, and thumbs in landscape had problems with certain operations. I droped it accidentaly once just because of that, and it was borrowed on two week terms, first thing that came to my mind:" That Damn small bezel." Fortunately nothing happened to it so I didnt have to pay up for repair.
But since then...."Keep the bezel Sony, thank you."
Heck, Z3c also has very small bezels, but its a smaller device, so one doesnt notice it as much.
I agree Sony could do with somewhat smaller bezel for bigger phones but those small bezel like on G6 and S8, or Mi Mix....no thanks.
Looking at some people using their S7 edges....always two handedly, holding with fingertips while calling.....and now they get to have the same problem with not just 2 but all 4 edges.

Very Nice this time, but I want to provide some experience on internal memory if 32GB or 64 GB please make sure that system can be real space on internal, can keep much App and when update App on Phone no need to gain space again, just keep the same MB, or GB on that App, prepare your Memory again, Oh yeah, and please care about your Memory Card Slot when put Memory into phone, it caused phone Heater, I don't understand. Make sure that happen,please, thank you Sony, Love Sony.

again use of defective and rejection ips panels intentionally for which sony is famous out of there 10 devices you can find display defects in 9-8 devices..

I buy all high end from Sony. I was a Philips a Japanese Company user then now only Sony is available in Europe. Like my XZ but so excited by this incredible Xperia XZ Premium (Luminous Chrome) which is 5,5" maybe the best size.

Sony would have built a great phone if they went with 6" screen, 6gigs and better battery. Comparing their great camera with iPhone showed brighter iPhone picture!! So i don't know. Maybe they do not want to really steal the show from Sami!!!!

You know which game's are most profitable candy crush clash of clans Pokemon go subway surfers and angry birds. 3 of these are played in portrait mode. Also you'll attend a call in landscape? The sole reason mobile gaming is profitable is the sheer number of users having mobiles. Out of more than 2 billion people even if 30℅ play games it's gonna be more than all the console's combined and yes phone has other uses than gaming which mostly are in portrait mode

They only want to be like them : releasing a unit blindly bought years after years whatever little they do inside (or outside). G2 had a great design back in its time but it was too hidden due to usual brands. Now we can see how it went : LG tried to innovate differently until G5 and now they just simplified to the max their G6 in apple style, maybe to cut costs too. Another thing, excepted Sony (and Motorola) no one goes beyond Apple camera resolution anymore this year again..
