I'm not an avid LG hater, I am just disappointed in them, and I wish I would get paid. That'd be awesome.

As a neutral guy and not a Fanboy of any particular brand i am very much consfused now.
-Spec wise after using sony xperia for almost 2 years and not facing a single instance of lag i can confidently say that performance of the device depends on optimisation and less on hardware. This is where Samsung lags as my brother's s6 edge lags as hell even though he's not a hardcore user. Maybe Samsung's ui is to blame.
- now comes looks which is very much important and that's the reason i bought s6 edge for my brother and its a real piece of beauty! Lg lost its design language after LG g4 which was the best at looks. G6 looks crap to me to be honest.
- Now comes durability which is why i am afraid to go with samsung and motorola as s6 edge display got some pink line in its first year of use even though its in spigen case. My mom's moto x style is probably was the best with good camera, loud speaker, great looks untill its headphones jack got ruined and a touch problems which makes fast typing a hell lot difficult.
-Now talking about my current phone xperia z5 which has got some great rear camera, good battery life( with stamina mode),great performance(even today), good looks, water proof( tested it myself many times in swimming pool), most reliable phone for me( not even a single hardware/software issue)! But again not everything is perfect 😫. Awful selfie camera, lower speaker volume than competition, bad indoor photos are making me now to change a phone. Now as g6 failed to impress me much looking forward for xz premium and galaxy s8!

watching the unveiling made me hungry , i thought about eating pizza but i realized it's only 1 pm so i went ahead and rolled a joint thats when the lg g6 appeared to me as the best phone i have ever saw in my life , guess it was really good weed :D

It gets worse as well, gone is laser auto focus it would seem. The imx258 has PDAF, but even that is not present on the wide angle cam which is again fixed focus.
I think overall that PDAF is a better solution Than LDAF, but I was really hoping for a hybrid of the two (like what Sony has been doing) based around a larger sensor of 1/2.3 or such.

I'll say this much for the G6 - the front of it looks a lot better than either of the Google Pixel phones.

The phone sure is an improvement from the G5, but...
1) Unattractive, fingerprint magnet design
2) Awful UI
3) Outdated Snapdragon 821
4) Will probably be expensive
5) Will probably have problems, like most LG flagships and phones

LG is expected to lose again due to the failure of G6. In a couple of months, there will be a lot of Chinese brands coming out with S835 asking for half of the G6's price.
