Don't think they'll be selling a lot of those phones especially with a starting price tag of $700 for a < 2900 mAh battery phone. I think the XZP will start at like $799-899 maybe more.

There are other smartphone brands using Sony's battery of larger capacity, I myself am shocked and disappointed they brought forward the battery life dilemma...

I buy all high end from Sony. I was a Philips a Japanese Company user then now only Sony is available in Europe. Like my XZ but so excited by this incredible Xperia XZ Premium (Luminous Chrome) which is 5,5" maybe the best size.

My biggest gripe is Sonys constant stupid decision to put such lousy batteries, I mean slap a god damn 4000mAh battery in there, but they're too cheap and stupid to do something like that, especially when its rocking a 4K screen.

Lol 700$ for a phone?I dont want to spend 700 for a phone like this which merely last a year until a new phone is out again. I can surf the internet ,open my email,use my fb and messenger,watsapp on a 100$ phone. This companies are robbing our money for the same bs every year.

Me, 27 Feb 2017XZ, X Perf, X and X Compact have nougat since december.. No... moreMi5 has nougat. All mi phones from mi3 onwards are on February security update. Including Redmi note 3 and 4. And Redmi 2 and 3 too. Just saying. Please do fact check before publishing anything. Also by price difference between them I can buy a camera and a speaker that has better quality than any mobile device let alone your beloved company

It's gotten a bit better over the years, but is nowhere near the rivals... Which use Sony's technology too. :D I guess they are getting paid for ruining their own software or simply lack the interest to polish it up totally.

Sony has some balls for brains for pricing them like that. The XZs is going to compete directly against flagships, and it doesn't even meet last year's phones which you can now get at a fraction of this price. You're not even paying for the brand, as Sony has a mind share of a sub par company in the smartphone market these days, especially after cancellation of the Z series and going mid range for high range price.
What happened to the Z3 series Sony, when they were actually having products on par AND better than competition (the Z3 compact)? I miss those days. I think Sony lost their good people since then, and replaced them with absolutely delusional ones.

Amen brother...I too had bought the Xperia Z1 Compact for my mother, and also had the old Xperia TX. To be honest, yes the image processing absolutely sucked on the Z1 Compact despite it being nippy and fast even after 2 and half years in general usage...But the camera is a total letdown..Same for the Xperia TX which I had..Now I'm very happy with Axon 7, whose camera I find markedly better than any Xperia I've seen
