I had intended to upgrade from the Mini when the Axon 8 comes out,but even the flagship is having lots of problems. Many tech savvy owners of the Axon 7 are unlocking and rooting their phones and running Lineage OS just because of the ineptness of ZTE to get it's software worked out. My Mini has been VERY buggy lately too and if ZTE doesn't work their bugs out of Nougat and release it to the Mini,then I will find a new phone.....hardware is amazing,but the software is almost not worth dealing with.

MiFavor was already 4.2 with the 7.0 update. 7.1 is welcome news. Nothing but pleased with this awesome phone that I picked up on sale for $350.

Mine is rock solid, smooth as butter. For $400 it runs circles around my Sony Z3 and I don't know why the camera gets knocked because I blow up my pictures on a 21" monitor and they stay razor sharp! The Daydream experience is incredible, I did a rollercoaster ride and practically fell out of my chair. I sit in a chair that swivels so I can spin around and see everything. I am extremely impressed with this phone so far, and the one time I called support I got a person who spoke American.

I am experiencing the same issue after the Nougat update with Whatsapp especially when trying to send a photo.
I thought I was the only one. I did not do a reset and I didn't see where this was prescribed. I didn't have any issues before.

Got it for my wife for... moreThat doesn't mean its not a good phone since it lagged with whatsapp , mine lags too when sending pictures and videos so she must be sending all. Time i believe its an optimization thibg which will be solved later other than that tge phone is perfect

Awesome very few companies have nougat 7.1...well done zte... Waiting on my axon 7 128gb with 6gb ram... The phone is a beast one if the best I have ever owned... Got nougat in Jan and 7.1 already rolling out... Even before one plus 3

Was so disappointed with the Axon 7. Got it for my wife for Valentine's Day, updated it to Nougat and it was buggy, lagging, and freezing whenever she used Whatsapp. She didn't like the phone at all :( Returned it which is a shame I really wanted her to like it. Oh well.

Except European devices are still on Marshmallow and American ones are plagued with bugs

Knew I should of spent an extra $100 on the Axon 7 if it was getting so much updates that the 7 Mini isn't.
