Dont hate innovation buddy, yes we curious how battery will survive with that high Voltages. IMO if that battery have old tech inside it (just like other with QC3, VOOC, MotoTC) it not gonna survive for long. But new tech have implant on Car and Plane and Submarine and other but not smartphone realm, hope Meizu bring it to us first. It will be nice if our phone can get full in 10 to 30 minutes but dont forget about battery age.

they seem to be playing with the concept of fast charging using the techniques of Qualcomm and One Plus by increasing both the current and voltage at the same time. 40C temp is also too high for a battery and it will have a useful life shorter than what is normal.

it seems that we are not limited by the fast charge technology anymore but the capability of the charger. that charger is huge and larger than my 15inch's laptop charger.

Am in the trade, and in 2016 we were informed that 2017 battery tech would enable 60% phone charging in 1 (one) minute. New capacitive tech makes this possible. This is only the beginning!
