RickGH, 01 Mar 2017And how many Windows phones did you buy from your beloved d... moreThree so far. And now I've given Android another chance after using a Windows phone in the past 3 years. Used Android for 2 years before getting my first Windows phone.
And Android is still a mess compared to Windows. From the UI, the UX, the bugs, the low performance, the missing features, to the unorganized menus, weird memory management, high battery usage, etc. - I feel I'm going to switch back to Windows soon; but only after I've fully tested the new Android version in every way possible.
For the large number of apps you're getting on Android, there are a ton of other shortcomings.

And for what? Apple still have better and more memorable wallpapers and most Android use just use their kids' photo as wallpaper.

Frankly, this looks like a waste of effort for what ultimately looks like an uninspiring end-result made entirely using software. The Windows 10 light wallpaper was way better for this technique.
Alas, gone are the days of unique wallpapers: the S3's dandelion, Note 2's feather on water, S5's colourful facets, Sony's colourful flow, LG G3's pink & blue smole cloud and the Apple's Fighter fishes, Northern Lights and Water droplets.........

Good initiative. Please compose some Ringtones for this. I can't recall properly but old day's ringtone was very charming, Mobilehits made RT was my favourite. Sorry for off topic.

What are all these negativities? Why are you all so triggered about these wallpapers? LG could have used photoshopped wallpapers, but they chose to give physically made ones(that's dedication right there) that are simple, yet beautiful(atleast for me). Wallpapers are supposed to be simple, not overly full of details, because, most of the time, it's just used for a background for the UI, apps, etc., it's not supposed to be focused on. And the way the wallpaper represent the number 6 looks cool for me.

M... moreyou're certainly not wrong with the last part, even trying to find an icon pack on android that has a large range is impossible so it looks more of a mess, one thing windows has always done well is light/dark UI

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2017i guess you didn't get the job? I'm a graphic designer as well, and I can relate to this. Material design is not actually 'design' in its real sense. It's just one of the cheapest and simplest solution to creating something.
Not to mention that 'material design' is actually just a copy of Microsoft's 'flat design' used in all Windows phones and Windows 8-10. Android is still trying to catch up to the streamlined, minimalistic design language used in Windows, but the transition from gradients, shadows, and multitude of colors that don't mix well - to the clean and simple look of Windows is hard to make. That's why Android added light/dark UI modes only recently, and they still look bad compared to light/dark in Windows phones. That's why you don't need icon packs in Windows phones: because everything looks good right out of the box. (unlike the different, weird shapes, colors and sizes that Android icons have)
