Jarret, 01 Mar 2017The pure Android's stock installed in BlackBerry. BoredApple releases one phone per year

Coming to Blackberry after Android I love BB10 and what nobody has explained is why TCL still made the H/W and Blackberry continued with BB 10

As you can see when Blackberry cut off its nose to spite its face
Blackberry BB10 could run asid Blackberry Android but the weird thing ...

the secure Blackberry still queues for the security patch, and BB10 in the 1.25 years not one patch required for BB10

Here is the USA today article http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/news/2016/07/04/us-congress-finally-ditches-blackberry/86621196/

BB10 one a year could co-exist with BB Android

The guy you're arguing with is clearly more intellectually gifted than you. "What security updates" you commented, he was talking about the MONTHLY SECURITY UPDATES that TCL/BlackBerry have been rolling out to their latest android devices. You clearly don't own one if not you will know. If you don't believe that there are monthly updates, do some flippin' research and you'll see for yourself.

Type in 'blackberry priv' into YouTube and watch the video by Mr. Mobile that was uploaded about 2 months ago. It explains this point.

        Capeesh?!?!

It's obvious that discussing Linux/UNIX-based operating systems and timely back-porting of security patches is above your capabilities. You've probably never even browsed the Android source code, and couldn't get out of vi if you needed to. Stick with your Windows machine and whatever mass-market slab the marketing departments sell you on.

Use to be infatuated & own every phone that had a keyboard on it in the days, with SonyEricsson's, Nokia communicators E series to Motorola Milestones. But never really found practical use for it, today only uses on screen keyboards with hand writing recognition.

DTEK was a good option for people who wanted good mid-range or flagship with guaranteed security updates. BlackBerry is one of the top 2-3 Android manufacturers these days after Google Pixel. Hope the new phones keep that record up.

Blackberry as a name only doesn't really motivate me to drop my current phone and switch brands. What's in a name? When the soul has been gutted and left for dead years ago. Time to move on blackberry reinvent your self before your name is misused even more. You don't want a calculator with blackberry on it or a toaster with your name being sold in some third world country.
