lol, 02 Mar 2017You know your cousin, brother, mother, sister, aunt and unc... moreEveryone tried everything, including soft reset, firmware updates and cache cleaning and the result is the same - bothched software, awful battery life, burned-in AMOLEDs and horrible day-to-day use. And I am not talking about ancient and cheap devices - two of them were Galaxy S3s, bought in early 2013 and started malfunctioning in early 2014, one was Galaxy S2 Plus bought in late 2013 and becoming practically unusable half an year later, one S3 Mini which became horrible after less than a year and so on. All of them will never buy crappy Samsung ever again, that's for sure. And in the meantime my ancient SE Live with Walkman from 2012 is still going strong after 5 years and my 2 Allview phones are running just fine also. So yeah, good luck with your Crapsungs...

And at the extreme end, a factory reset will do whatever clearing the cache doesn't.

Phones become slow over time due to the actions of the user, not those of the manufacturer.

Literally the only other reason is if the flash memory chips begin to perish, and that only happens if the phone is REALLY old or the user is thrashing the life out of it with constant file writes, like, moving your entire music collection in and out a couple of times a month.

Actually it's quite nice device on paper - 14nm power-efficient SoC paired with not-so-demanding HD display and sufficient battery makes this a great workhorse for all the folks in the mud. The only problems I see is that
                  a) it is Samsung after all and this automatically means it will become laggy as hell and practically unusable after 1 year and 2-3 software updates. Trust me, mu cousin, my girlfriend, 2 of her best friends, my brother, his wife - all of them had different Samsungs and they became practically unusable after about a year because of their awful software while my 2 Allview phones (rebranded Gionee models) for the past 3 years are still working just fine. Aaaaaand also:
                  b) the asking price will be ridiculously high just like the Xcover 3.
So for now I will pass and will probably buy again a Chinese phone...

Pretty sure an S8 Active worldwide would be a massive success, as long as they dont ship with defective homebuttons, unsealed bodies and damaged display digitizers, all problems i have seen before and had with Samsung products.
