Microsoft thinks it's a good idea to put ads in your Windows 10 File Explorer

08 March 2017
Coincidentally or not (definitely not), the ads are for the company's OneDrive cloud storage service.

Id rather have these ads to cover microsoft's lost revenues in releasing a new windows every few years than to have a new windows every few years!

It's the developer's fault for not securing their softwares.

And they ever wonder why I will soon switch to a MacBook for laptop and Android for tablets. Tone-deaf.

No one wants stuff for free as long as they can afford it. Softwares are so costly in India that if I start paying for each one of them I will die of poverty. I can bet even Satya Nadella had never paid for softwares till he was in India.

AnonD-463101, 09 Mar 2017back to windows 7....It's meant for the average consumer who doesn't go looking for stuff. You can disable it.

I think there should be a bubble to allow to disable permanently right in that spot.

Anyways, I actually like the start menu suggestions for apps. I have found some cool apps/games that were suggested to me. I keep it on because it beats looking in the store for it. Think about how sometimes you find a great app/game because it is showcased in an article. Same deal. Doesn't take up much space, sometimes don't even notice it. I see value in it, so I'm sure others will too. If you couldn't disable it that would be a different story.
