BB why do you come into the dual sim mobile phone market and release a really good phone with very good spec and eat a bit of the apple and samsung market share. Bcoz security wise BB you are the best.

Would've been nice if BB or Merah Putih (how do you even say that) should've increased the resolution to FHD and the battery to at least 3200mAh.

Anonymous, 09 Mar 2017There are crazy currencies in this world. I mean you pay 3.... moreOur currency (Rupiah) is not CRAZY. It's just a LONG TIME AGO (19 years ago, precisely), Indonesians face the GREATEST economic crisis in our history, which makes Rupiah become one of many weak currencies, added with how CHEAP domestic products here, makes the currency even weaker & imported products so BLOODY EXPENSIVE.

BUT, in Aurora's case, it's not the currency's fault, it is the local manufacturer (PT TiPhone) which is CRAZY. When MANY of local phone manufacturers can make CHEAP yet DECENT specs Android phones, TiPhone NOT INTERESTED in making AFFORDABLE BB devices, cuz they still think BB = High-Class BRAND, thus making a BB devices with costs as CHEAP as possible & sold it as EXPENSIVE as possible is the "norm", very much like what Apple's strategy when making new iphone.
What I can't understand is, Android OS costs "free" from Google, as long as the manufacturers keep ALL Google's apps, which means BB developer team focuses mainly in releasing security patch & android updates from time to time, which don't costs them too much to their budget. The question is, why MANY people keep telling BB Android devices costs more expensive because of the "software support" and many other BS? Xiaomi with its MIUI also give "software support" to MOST of its devices (mainly Mi devices), but MOST of their devices cost lower than HALF BB devices?

There's also Oneplus with their Hydrogen OS which comes with regular security patch update, BUT ALL of its devices with EXCELLENT components costs no higher than BB devices with MEDIOCRE components?
Come on, BB, u'll be the next NOKIA if u keep this JOKE on. Ur brand is NO LONGER PREMIUM in people's mind, so better keep designing CHEAP devices with GOOD components like Xiaomi & Oneplus do. IF u can do that, u can become a popular brand like Alcatel which recently becomes one of the most popular brand in mid-range market with their Flash series or Lenovo with their ZUK series which is Affordable yet packs serious specs

IDR 3,499,000 still expensive for the specs, but its alright. As i was expecting Blackberry to be Blackberry & price it no less than USD 400.
Guess being locally made in Indonesia does make the diffs.

AnonD-314089, 09 Mar 2017Blackberry made the same mistake as Nokia. When bankruptcy ... moreNokia ran (rather was forced by Elop) to microsoft's windows phone and blew all their remaining cash in trying to promote a weak and unsupported OS. They didn't go with android right away, which what they should've done even before they got bankrupt.

They always put "unbalanced" spec, like big screen but very low res, big ram but very low processor, etc.
That's why indonesian-adults never use such phones, we only buy those phones for our kids.

And with such low specs, this 'local made BB' is very very expensive. Indonesians won't buy it, even for their kids.

I'm Indonesian and I would say that this product is a sure fail.

                          1. High income citizens in Jakarta (the capital) would choose Apple or Samsung in a heart beat. As many have pointed out, people here choose brands over anything else. Mid and low income citizens realized this by seeing how Hi income people here never use BB anymore. Meaning hi income people will not choose this phone.

                          2. IDR 3.5 mill is considered as mid class, as the minimum monthly wage in the capital regulated by the gov is IDR 3.35mill. Meaning low income people can not choose this phone, even if they want to.

                          3. The only "market" for this phone is the mid income people. This level mostly consists of the bachelor degree holders and office workers. This kind of people are smart and picky. They will need the best value for their money. And pricing this BB at this level is a big mistake. e.g. Lenovo ZUK Z2 is priced IDR 0.5 mill (around USD $37) cheaper than this BB. The zuk z2 has sd820 with 4mb.

In conclusion: High income people don't want this because it's a bad brand. Low income people can't have this because it's too expensive. Mid income people will have better choices value per money. I would consider this a failed product.

Even a donkey wont fall on the same hole.

With that kind of spec and price tag, this product surely will fail again.

Just like BB Priv and those DTEK 50 & 60. They dont sell really well.
Low spec and high price tag is NOT a good match.

                            Wake up, Blackberry !!
U are running fast to your extinction...

AnonD-282597, 09 Mar 2017Rather than expensive phones, Indonesians are dedicated to ... moreBeing an Indonesian, I daresay that Indonesia was the last surviving market of BB due to the rapidly decreasing prices of the blackberry, therefore allowing for many of those in the low classes to feel as though they own a high class material. Yes, I am aware that I am putting labels on classes, but it is true, the drop that the BB experienced from being a sought for, high class phone, to a low class throwaway phone was almost drastic. But this is a very bad move by BB as IDR 3 mill is already considered a mid range price in this country therefore we would expect at least a 1080p screen, and a higher grade SoC.
