I don't get why so many people are complaining. Did you all use a pixel as a daily driver? Mine is working perfectly fine. The design is questionable, sure. But at least it's not exploding and neither can you "hold it wrong"...

Pixel or iPhone one thing remains clear; smartphones shouldn't be north of $600 ceiling period. Yes no matter what. Let alone this lame joke of a rumor going around that Apple might gonna gun to hit the $1K threshold this year.

Because there's no such thing as a perfect device. There has to be at least a single digit percentile of lemons in any production run and that means issues. And if it's definitely hardware related, even a 1 to 1 device replacement puts a user in the loss for time and effort spent.

Effectively what Google did 1st time around at Pixels' launch, they craptacularly validated Apple's way of pricing things but even more worse a half assed catch up at that too. Because Apple justified what they do with their own leading SoC design and proprietary peripherals, but Pixels?..... given enough time back then hell even Xiaomi or Huawei could have pulled the same design and also exceed. Look at Mi Mix?

First of all, the Pixel was not "made by Google itself" any more than a Foxconn iPhone was "made by Apple itself". Google wants everyone to think that but watch, they'll now turn the blame on HTC.

mir, 09 Mar 2017You can't really assure the quality when the design of the ... moreConsidering they designed this in only 9 months, which is quite short of a time period for designing phones, there'll almost definitely be some fault in it. Just look at the Galaxy Note7, that thing was rushed to the shelves, and it was a time bomb. Besides, that's why I said that I hoped Google would perform some more quality control tests on the second gen Pixels

And Google is the one who designed this phone. Which is a very poor effort, all things considered.
