AnonD-563126, 11 Mar 2017I love Windows it is more useful and flexible than Android ... moreyeah, I think the Windows Phone interface is better than competitors. Really the only different look from the traditional icons on desktop. But they are lacking apps and it is a catch 22 in that they won't get more apps until more sales and won't get more sales until more apps.

I love Windows it is more useful and flexible than Android & ios but the lack of app keep the people away, OS is not the problem anyways

MAYBE with price below $400, they will sell more than 500 units 😂

The OS is NOT the problem, it's the lack of available devices that are the problem.

Nokia had the low-mid end of the market really tied up but because of that, people tended to think that Windows phones were a bit cheap. Windows 8.1 also looked a bit amateurish in my opinion, especially when put side by side with Android and iOS. W8.1 also wasn't as well suited to high end devices. People were more enticed by the Galaxy S and iPhones so never gave high end Windows phones much of a chance.

W10 on high end Windows phones is actually a fantastic experience. Out of all 3 OSes I would choose W10 every time as a daily driver. It is slick, intuitive and now maturing too. The Lumia 930 is a fantastic looking phone with a lovely OLED screen and decent specs for W10, although lacking a card slot and the battery life is poor. You can buy them brand new for £130 now through international vendors. If you have the money spare, I challenge you all to buy one and not be surprised by how good the UX is! Go on, do it!

Since Microsoft shafted Nokia, the low-mid devices dried up and so did the core userbase. High end enthusiasts like myself have had a little more choice but without the core userbase, there's no incentive for companies to release Windows phones. This is where all the Windows Mobile is dead!!!11!!1! headlines have come from, no-one is buying Windows phones because there aren't any to buy!

mir, 10 Mar 2017The OS is the problem. Why don't you WP fanboys get that?I'm actually using an Android phone right now. (P9 lite)

mir, 10 Mar 2017The OS is the problem. Why don't you WP fanboys get that?I would say that the OS is sort of the problem at this point in time. MS removed a lot of features to rebuild mobile 10. When 950XL came out the phone was great but the OS was insanely buggy and unstable. The experience was generally bad and it ruined it for MS.

As I have been participating in the insider builds it has gotten much better over the last year. I still think that their lack of focus on it is keeping it from achieving more.

The interface is my favourite among all the phones. It allows some crazy personalization right out of the box without extra installations like on android. And yes, you don't need tiles you can do icons and other things. Ms is still working on it. I don't think MS plans to be a part of the phone race. More about the future of ultra mobile pc's, which phones are but are just limited by input/output. Even Google seems to be following and Apple shows signs of biting the bait for the hybrid world.

Anyways, not how you likely envision the windows interface but that's just MS's boring default you see.

The OS is a problem, hardware-wise the phone is appealing to me. Good screen-size too.
