India is not a developing country anymore. Its one of the BRICS nation, where rate of development is higher than even some developed nations.

Indians already have better options than sony.
Samsung offer great devices for rich people who want to throw a lot money for premium build quality.
For smarter people, they also have better choices such as china phones.
Sony only offers expensive Plastic devices with Plastic quality.

Guaranteed low output via Headphone and speakers.
Guaranteed overheating.
Guaranteed crappy photo and video quality.
3-4 mins thermal cap on 4k video.
I bought xperia Z when it got released and my god, a renowned TV company putting such a low contrast screen on its flagship phone !!!!
Overtime only the screen has been improved.. nothing else...

Best part of business...
3rd World always pays more for the same products that are sold in rich nations.
If a phone is 400 in USA and 450 in Europe, it may be 800 at least in Africa, Asia and South America.

It is already selling at INR39990 since long on major online retailers, this 150$ price cut is useless. Get this device to 30-32K in India and see it sell more than the s7s. Xperia is dead in India long before the S3...there is absolutely no resale value and the service post sales is fantastically ruined/bad. A die hard fan will save/throw money and get this fone the rest have way too many options then to wait for a sexy xperia becomes cheap. I bought a sony device (ION) once, only to see it become obsolete in a matter of months and then sold at 1/5th the cost while still under warranty. Pity.
